Beloit Black WallStreet, Inc. is a for-profit, purpose-driven Wisconsin cooperative created to be a community anchor providing resources, knowledge, and financing to empower and enrich the Black residents living in Beloit, Wisconsin and South Beloit, Illinois.
Who We Are
Beloit Black WallStreet, Inc. (BBW, Inc.) is a for-profit, purpose-driven company owned by community shareholders.
The State of Wisconsin ranks as #1 in the United States for its extreme racial disparities in incarceration, poverty, unemployment, educational attainment, healthcare inequality, and more.
The number of Black residents living in Beloit and across the entire state has steadily increased for more than 30 years; access to resources and services has decreased. Thirty-seven percent of Black residents living in Beloit WI live below the poverty line compared to 16.5% of Beloit’s White residents.
Beloit Black WallStreet, Inc. provides community-based solutions and services aimed at providing the Black residents of Beloit and South Beloit with access to free education, job skills training, healthcare advocates, legal aid, financial literacy, fitness training, home-buying assistance, youth programs, senior activities, investment opportunities, and more.
The mission of Beloit Black WallStreet, Inc. is to create and provide the Black residents of Beloit and South Beloit with economic opportunities and resources that will empower and enrich our community by using group economics and creating collaborative partnerships.
By uniting our community together, we believe we can plan, prepare and prosper from the drastic change and development taking place in Beloit and the surrounding areas.
Beloit Black WallStreet, Inc. is on a mission to bring peace and prosperity to our community members. All of our events are intended to encourage respectful dialogue, innovative ideas, unity, learning, fun, and execution.
Our goal is to make sure that our members can access the knowledge, resources, and financial assistance needed to achieve their personal and career development goals.
